Crusaders

If you all know me, you know that I’ve had numerous personal issues with lawyers and the law in general for many years, with no abatement of this vendetta in sight. This vitriol is not directed at every single class of lawyer, just those who are bound and determined to make worse for the average man – divorce attorneys, corporate lawyers, etc.

When it comes to those lawyers who choose to help the common man instead, my views are much more lenient. If you are negatively affected by an accident or negligence, for instance, there are those who would crusade in your name.

For those readers in the Mira Mesa or greater San Diego region, for instance, I couldn’t recommend any firm more than Villasenor Law Offices for your personal injury attorney needs. The firm has been working tirelessly for 27 years to get people the recompense they deserve from unscrupulous insurance companies doing everything in their power to avoid a payout.

If you need proof of the professionalism, conscientiousness and efficacy of the firm, you can simply turn to their Google reviews for examples.

Kimberly Yow writes:

Over the last 10 years, Chris Villasenor has created several contracts for my company that protect me in case a dispute with a client or contractor crops up. He has also reviewed contracts from my potential clients or partners and made recommendations on ways they needed to be revised in order to protect my best interest. Chris was also very helpful and informative when my husband & I were faced with a real estate dispute while purchasing our current home. Chris is trustworthy, professional and a great legal resource in times of need AND he’s become my attorney of choice!

Marissa Sheppard adds to this, saying:

I am grateful Chris and Vicky for all the hard work they did in helping with my case. I appreciated the professionalism ,the honesty and integrity this law office represented from beginning to end. Chris is very knowledgeable in the field and comes w years of experience that shows in the way he handled my case. He was patient and kind in his communications of the process I would have to navigate. I am happy w the outcome and the process. trusting someone you don’t know isn’t always easy . If I needed this type of help in the future I would seek the help of Chris and Vicky again. Thank you both!!!

Lance finishes us off with a final note here:

Chris is an excellent attorney… Pragmatic in his approach, but also very personable. I feel I was given wise counsel in negotiating a partnership exit strategy that protected my interests in a fair and measured way. His involvement brought me a sense of confidence. He listened to what I needed, explained my obligations, and suggested a clear path to resolution. I recommend him to anyone in need of legal representation.

If you’re in Poway and are looking for an attorney that can help you get the compensation you deserve from consistently awful insurance companies, don’t hesitate to call Villasenor Law Offices.

Boycotting Makeup

Folks, we know that today’s society is basically just a soup of toxic, microplastic and hormone disrupting chemicals waiting for your body to eventually weaken so they may target your spirit and reduce all of us into unthinking, unseeing human biomass, good for nothing but slaving for wages we immediately turn around and spend. You know that, I know that, heck, my grandma knows that, I tell her every day.

We have to do what we can to fight the powers that be in their crusade to turn us into lumps of undifferentiated jelly, and our first step in that is eliminating our reliance on makeup. I’m sorry to say this, ladies, but the chemicals in most common types of makeup is a horrifying mixture of toxic chemicals, not fit to put on the animals they test them on.

According to this article from simply organic beauty, cosmetic products with these harmful chemicals are pervasive:

“Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (or EDCs) can be one of the most difficult chemicals to avoid in beauty products. They cleverly elude most ingredient lists by hiding within a product’s packaging or an ingredient itself…

According to the UK’s BreastCancer.Org, an endocrine disruptor is any chemical that can interfere with normal hormone functions in humans or animals. While there are naturally occurring types found in plants, such as soy (known as phytoestrogens), most endocrine-disrupting compounds come from synthetic chemicals and can be avoided.

There’s seemingly no end to the adverse health impacts of endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Also known as EDCs, these tricky chemicals can imitate hormones and destroy others while creating internal signaling issues which causes premature cell death. Endocrine disruptors have also been proven to accumulate in hormone-producing organs, resulting in organ malfunctions and irreversible damage.

Permanent damage, folks! These people should be in jail, but instead they live the high life, boozing it up with the Hollywood celebrity and fashion crowds. Pretty annoying!

Our alternative is for you to look into one of two options: Either going no makeup at all, or going with a more permanent option that does not use the dangerous chemicals that typical cosmetics do. Enter our favorite permanent makeup company: Lift.

Lift Permanent Makeup is making the lives of women all across Orange County infinitely easier (and safer!) by offering a number of different permanent makeup and beauty care options, including eyebrow blading and permanent eyeliner. These girls are not only saving themselves a lot of time and stress by always looking ‘done up’, but they’re saving themselves a lot of problems with potential harmful chemicals and endocrine disruptors in their usual cosmetic products as well!

There are harmful chemicals, pesticides, and poisons all around us, in our food, in our water. The best we can do to fight for the health of our minds and bodies is to limit our exposure to these products of industrial society as much as possible, while still maintaining a normal life. Lift Permanent makeup helps you do that and more, with elegant and beautiful solutions to your cosmetic needs.

Protection in the Burning Times

Well folks, it’s that time of the year again. No, not the holiday season, not Halloween, nor any of your weirdo pagan holidays pushed on us to sell candy and poorly made horror films.

It’s the time of year where our great and beautiful state goes up in flames, choking our already smog-ridden cities in a thick blanket of ash as we helplessly watch the pillars of smoke creep menacingly towards our neighborhoods. The neighborhoods of the common man, anyway; the rich and powerful never seem to be in the way of the flames.

It’s enough to make you wonder, what are our elected officials doing about the problem? Are they using our tax dollars to control the dry brush and fund the firehouses? Not quite.

The powers that be, in their infinite wisdom, have decided the best way to combat this ‘natural’ disaster is to…shut off our power.

Now, you all know me. I’m no conspiracy theorist. I don’t walk around mumbling about aliens and Nessie all day.

What I do walk around thinking is, “Hey, wouldn’t it be nice if we had power right now so cell phone towers worked and we could tell where the best evacuation routes were?” If I were a state government looking at an ever-worsening population problem, what would be the best way to snuff out some of those pesky moaning peasants that demand I do my ‘job’ all day?

While I’m at it, why have those fire-starting winds seem to have gotten worse since they installed all those “wind power” generators in the desert?! Sure seems convenient they’re all pointed west towards civilization.

Just sayin’!

Anyway, we can speculate on who started the fires and why it was clearly the government all we want, it’s not going to make us and our homes any safer. We need concrete, actionable steps that will allow us to both physically and financially protect ourselves from disasters, whether they’re man made or natural.

When it comes to financially protecting ourselves, there’s nothing quite like insurance, especially in a state as disaster prone as California. If you’re in Southern California (land of giant earthquakes, fires, and dumb, aggressive drivers), insurance can be the deciding factor in whether you’re able to pick yourself up and dust yourself off once the Big One comes and goes.

That’s why I’m spotlighting Galindo Insurance today, a local agent with some serious chops and none of the usual hocus pocus jibber jabber that you get with the typical broker. He can help set you up with auto, home, business, property, life, and health insurance, and if your needs aren’t covered under those, his network of contacts from working under Statefarm will get you to the right person.

We live in some strange times, folks. You can feel the shifts in the winds of the world as it changes around us. They howl now, dry leaves skittering across the pavement sounding like bones being scraped of meat. The normal greyish brown L.A. haze has turned into a sickly orange as the flames engulf the hills. The licking flames seem to reach farther towards the city every year.

There’s only one thing you can count on as stable and unchanging: the Dover Street Examiner’s coverage of the failings of our so-called “leaders” and local businesses that can actually make a difference.

For everything else, there’s Galindo Insurance. Give them a call:
